Aggie Mega Wagon

Wow...has it really been 3 weeks since I blogged last??? I am so sorry guys, but things have been a little hectic at work and by the time I get home all I want to do is chill with my family. I will tell you more about what has been keeping me busy, but right now I want to show you pictures of the Aggie Mega Wagon (as Brad calls it).

This all started about 2 months ago when Brad and I were talking about all the Aggie games we were going to go to this semester. I said then that we need to get a better umbrella stroller so it would be easier to tote Avery around campus. But, I wanted one that had storage underneath to hold all of our crap. Well, if you like at buying on of those things...they are at least $60. More like $95 for a really good one.

After seeing how much they cost, Brad said he would rather spend that money and buy her a wagon. I was thinking about a little red wagon made out of plastic, but Brad had different plans....

As you can see, he wanted to get a garden wagon from Lowes and "modify" it to meet our needs. Here he is putting it together with Avery.

Then it was time to start modifying it. He started by cutting one of the sides and adding a step. If he didn't, how would Avery be able to climb in? (Using sarcasm here....)

Once the step was done, then it was time to outline it in cedar and add a few Aggie touches. Here is the "final" product. It is done for now. Of course there are plans to add/change a few things, but that isn't until next weekend at least.

Notice that when the step is folded up....it turns into a cup holder for Mommy and Daddy's drinks. This is one thing that I LOVE!!!

Avery absolutely LOVES her wagon. She will sit there for hours if we let her. The other day she climb in there and was playing around but it was time for dinner. So, I pick her up to take her inside and she started SCREAMING and trying to get back in. :) I just started to laugh....it was so cute!

I think it turned out GREAT! A little bigger than I was expecting, but a lot better too! I don't think Brad has the word "simple" in his vocabulary. :)
