Our Little Peanut

Brad and I went for our second ultrasound today. It was so exciting to see our little one! Here are some of the pictures we were able to take with us.

It was cute...when she was trying to get this picture, the baby keep moving it's hands back and forth, like he/she was trying to push us away or something. Not even born yet and already giving us attitude!

She said everything look great. The baby is right in the 49% when it comes to weight and length, which she said is right where we should be. Right now the baby is about 7-8 inches and weighs about 8-10 ounces.

I do have to go back on Wednesday for another ultrasound though. According to the nurse, she has to look/measure the baby's stomach and make sure there is a "block dot", which indicates that the baby can swallow. She was not able to see this "black dot" today and therefore we will try again on Wednesday.

She told us not to worry though...that 99% of the time the baby just hasn't swallowed in the past hour and that is the reason why we can't see the "black dot" in the stomach. She said most of the time she can usually see it on the next ultrasound. If they don't see it though, I will have to go to a perinatologists and they will do more test to indicate if it is
TEF/EA or not. I don't think this is the case though since she said everything else looks great and that I have the normal amount of ammonic fluid around the baby. If the amount of fluid was larger (due to the baby never swallowing) then there would be more of a concern.

I am sure everything will be just fine on Wednesday, and I am going to try my hardest not to stress out about it until then. Keep little "Peanut" in your thoughts and prayers! :)
