Rudder's New Trick

Okay so...Rudder has a new trick. This one we did NOT teach him and we particularly don't like it either.

When I came home today, I found the laundry room door wide open. I called Rudder's name and he came slowly walking out of our bedroom like he had done something wrong. So of course, I went to see just what he had torn up. To my surprise I didn't find anything.

So then my next thought was...how in the world did he get out?

I already knew the answer, but I called Brad just to see if he had been home yet, just in case. Of course he hadn't.

Then my next thought was Rudder must have gotten out some way. I went to make sure the door to the closet was shut, and it was. Then I started thinking... In the new house, we now have the handles where you have to push down instead of turn to open the door.

So yes, Rudder has now figured out that he can jump up and open all the doors by himself. One week to figure that out...you have to laugh at such a smart dog.
