As most of you know, my mom had hip replacement surgery last Tuesday. So, I thought since I had the day off yesterday, I would spend the day with her.

Before I got there, I was thinking that she would need help getting off the couch and walking around and stuff like that. But I really surprised when I got there... I wasn't much help at all! She did everything by herself!

It was amazing to me to see the difference in just 2 days. When Brad and I went out there on Saturday, there was no way she could have gotten off the couch by herself, she had trouble walking and was even waiting until she could take more pain medication.

But yesterday I was watching her get up and off the couch many different times by herself, walking a LOT easier AND she only took 1 pain killer all day! It amazed me to see how much progress she had made in just a couple of days.

My mom is truly an amazing person. I don't think I would have the strength or courage to do what she does. Since she is so determined/stubborn (just like Papa), I know she will be dancing before she knows it! I am so proud of her! :)
