Getting the Nursery Ready

For the nursery drawer pulls, I wanted something that was fun and went along with our theme. So, Brad thought about using those toy ABC building blocks. At first he just put them on the drawers, but I didn't like that so much. I wanted them a little smaller so they would stick out as far.

So, Brad has been working on cutting them in half, then routing the edges, and finally sanding off the pictures on the sides. For each one (there are 18 of them) he had to do all three steps. Needless to say, it took him a while!

Here is what they looked like before he did anything to them....

Rudder had to join in on the fun. Isn't he cute!

This is the final product. Looks good huh? I know you can't really see the drawer pulls, but they are much better than before! Good job Brad! :)

So now, we pretty much have the nursery done. Since I am full terms this weekend, my goal was to have everything finished just in case Peanut decides to come early. Yesterday, I washed all the clothes, towels, and crib sheets and reorganized the closet. Now the only things we have left to do are the names (which Brad is going to have to make two of them just in case...) and the shelf that will go across the back wall.

We are officially ready for Peanut! :)
