She is already wanting to talk on the phone! What are we going to do in about 10 years???
She was sleeping in Daddy's arms when we put her hand up to her ear. We thought it was so adorable...that we just had to put a phone in her hands.
By the way, we went to the doctor's office this morning for Avery's first visit, and everything looks fine. The doctor said that her color looks great and that she is back up to her birth weight...which is also very good.
We have to go back next Thursday so they can do the second round of tests. Apparently they do the first round in the hospital (that I knew) but the results get sent to Austin...not the doctor/hospital. They will be sent to the doctor's office in about 2 more weeks. So, the doctor does another round herself to see if the results have changed or stayed the same. I will let everyone know what the tests say after I hear the results myself.
Other than that, we have been taking it pretty easy around here. Watching a lot of TV, getting this organized in the nursery, making the letter for her name, and other random things. Most of the time though, we are both just staring at her...not really believing that she is finally here!
Earlier today, Brad and I remember how that on Thursday of last week, we went to the doctor's appointment and then out on our "date". That seems like forever ago now...
It is crazy to think about that now. Our lives have changed so much in the past week. And when I think about how we "used" to live, it seems odd that Avery was not apart of it. We are so grateful to have her in our lives, and we plan on cherishing every moment of it!
