Avery's First Christmas

Our Christmas started off taking a few family pictures in front of the tree....
I just LOVE this picture of them! The three of us finally taking a picture together.

Then on Christmas Eve, we went to Brad's Aunt's house to celebrate with his side of the family. Avery woke up that morning with a temp and still didn't feel very good the whole time we were there. You can just tell that we has had better days...our pour baby girl!
Playing with the present Sandra gave her.
All the kiddos opening their gifts. Yes...it was a mad house!

Then it was off to the late church service (Avery slept right through it...thank goodness!) and back home so Avery could open her night gown. After changing her into her PJs, I propped her up on the couch so I could get her bottle ready. As soon as I was done, this is what I turned around to find...I guess she was tired!
Christmas morning we woke up with Avery having a 103.5 temp. Almost high enough to take a trip to the ER. Instead, we gave her some Motrin and soon enough her fever broke. She started feeling good enough to do Santa in the late morning. She just loved all her new toys!

Then it was off to Aunt Taylor's house for lunch and some more family time.
And of course we could not have a proper Christmas without singing to Jesus...it is His birthday after all!
Avery and Gigi sitting on the couch after a long day!

Overall, it was the best Christmas ever! I wish that Avery had felt better, but it is just one of those thing we just have to deal with. Hopefully next year will be even better.
