Staying Busy

I know...I know...I suck at keeping this thing updated lately. We just have been incredibly busy the last week or so.

I have been running like a mad women the whole time I am at work, and continuing until I go to bed. I am trying to start this new reading program in class, which is taking up a lot of my time. It wouldn't be so bad, but I am the "genie pig" for the whole district. This means that I am supposed to get everything together to buy the program, start implementing it, find all the flaws, fix them, come up with some data, and then this summer teach an inservice about it to all the other middle school reading teachers.

I am actually very excited about the whole program. I love learning new things, and this is a great way to accomplish that goal. I just wish there were about 5 more hours in the day so I wouldn't feel so over-whelmed all the time.

I have also been busy outside of school as well. This past weekend, Brad worked late on Friday, we went up to Conroe Saturday morning, hosted a bridal couple shower for Ladd and Ashley, church on Sunday morning, helping friend move furniture that afternoon, and then dinner at Chelsea's mom's house Sunday night. I don't think neither one of us stopped to take a breath all weekend.

This week has just flown by as well. I can't believe tomorrow is already Friday! Where does the time go!!! I am looking forward to this weekend though. Brad and I will be celebrating Valentines Day by going to a dinner party at our neighbors house Saturday night. Then on Sunday, Brad made reservations for Flemmings at 5:30. We are going to take Avery (since we both can't leave her yet...) with us to dinner. Since it is in the Galleria area, we might just make a whole day out of it. You know...go shopping and such before dinner. I am so excited to spend the day with my little family!

I promise I will try harder to keep this thing updated. Brad will take pictures of this weekend so everyone can share Avery's first Valentines Day with us. Love you all!
