First Week of School

It is now the second week of school, and I am really looking forward to the rest of the school year. My students are great with the exception of a few. There are a couple of boys in my fourth period that are going to be a handful. So far, they have been fine for me, but other teachers have already come to talk to me regarding them. This always makes it difficult since I never know how to respond, especially if they are doing fine for me. I think certain teachers do not know how to respond to certain types of personalities of students, making it difficult for them to create a relationship with them. Some teachers are always pessimistic and have nothing encouraging to say to their students. This would bring anyone down, not just 12 year olds.

Other than a few hiccups, school is going great! I have a wonderful schedule (3rd and 5th off) and my classroom is finally finished. I will have to take pictures of my room and post them later next week so you all can see my home away from home. I know I am a little basis, bit I think my classroom turn out wonderful! It is what I have been dreaming about since I was a little girl. Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to become a teacher and a wife. Now that I am married to an amazing man and have a wonderful career, I am living my dream. This has to be one of the greatest feelings in the world.

Fall is my favorite time of year.
The weather is changing and getting closer to Christmas, school is back in session, and the greatest American pastime has officially started….football. This past weekend we attended the first Texas A&M football game of the season. It was perfect. We had great seats right by the band, so I was able to take excellent pictures. I was told today that we will be sitting in the same section but one row up…row 3. So yet again, I will be able to see Kason as he walks to the north end of Kyle field with the rest of his buddies to entertain thousands of people during halftime.

For those of yall who have not seen Kason in a while, he is all grown up.
He is now in the second year of college and doing great. I can’t believe that my “little” brother is on his way to becoming a mechanical engineer. The last I remember he was sitting on the kitchen floor building a city out of paper. Yes, a whole CITY! That is the Kason I am used to, the nerdy kid who did awkward things for fun. But I could not be more proud of him now. He has turn into a strong and courageous young man and he makes me proud. Actually, all my siblings make me proud, but today is Kason’s turn. Tomorrow will be someone else’s.

So, there is yet another blog entry. I am getting used to this blogging thing. So far I am liking this blogging thing. I think I will be able to get used to this. Until next time…
