The Ever Growing "To Do" List

Aren't "To Do" lists supposed to get shorter as the days pass? Mine doesn't. It keeps growing and growing and growing...

Today was pretty crazy at work. I had 4 meetings, grades due in the morning, people observing me, lesson plans to write, presentations for trainings to get prepared for, power periods to start, e-mail to send out, paper to copy, lists to create, etc. Once I think I am able to cross something off my list, I have to turn around and add two more things. I don't think I would have it any other way though. I am the type that needs to stay busy. I am always the most productive when I have 20 things on my plate. When it is only 2 or 3 things, they never seem to get done...

Needless to say though, I needed a little "break" from the day when I got home from work. So, I went on the internet to try and find a quote to give me the boost I needed. This is what I found...

When you love people and have the desire to make a profound, positive impact
upon the world, then will you have accomplished the meaning to live.

This quote is very powerful to me. It helps remind me why I started teaching in the first place. I live to inspire and make an impact on my student's lives. That is why I work so hard....no other reason is as great as that.
