For the Fourth of July, we went up to Conroe to hangout at the lake house with the family. On Friday morning, Brad had to go to work for a couple of hours, so I decided to tag along with my parents while they went grocery shopping. Soon after getting back and unloading the food, Justin and Lauren woke up. We hung around for a couple of hours until Kenny and his girlfriend arrived.
Soon after that, Brad got home and Kenney's mom and sister also showed up. Then...Kason, all the Cokers and finally Lauren's parents later in the day. It is funny to think about how many people actually were there on Friday evening...and none of it was really planned. Everyone just kinda showed up.
It actually turned out to be a wonderful day. We cooked tacos and played around on the boat. Well, everyone else did. I of course didn't think it was wise for me to get on a bumpy boat when I am so close to my due date. But everyone else had a great time going skiing and tubing.
That night, we watch the next door neighbors' fireworks right there on the dock. They were amazing! Since we were so close, they looked extra big and bright...so romantic! :)
The next day, the men (Dad, Justin, Kason, Brad and Kenny) went to play a round of golf while us girls (Mom, Lauren, Shannon, and I) went shopping. I made the boys promise me that they would take some pictures...so here are a few that they took.
I am pretty sure that they all had a great time, especially my Dad. I think he gets a kick out of doing things like that with his "boys."
After a few more hours of "chilling", Brad and I decided to head on home to to unpack and go to bed early. We wanted to be able to wake up on Sunday morning and have the whole day to ourselves. We know we will not be able to do this shortly, so we thought we would while we still can.
