Avery's 2nd Birthday

Avery is 2 years old! To help celebrate her birthday, we had a few friends (more like 40) over for some hotdogs, cakes and fun! I really think Avery was running around the house with a smile on her face the whole time. :)

Before we ate, the adults talked and the kiddos played with all the toys...

Avery's friend Eric REALLY wanted the cupcakes! He would just sit there and wait until he thought no one was looking, then he would try to grab one. Too funny!

Thank you so much Lauren and Carla for helping me out all day long. Yall are the BEST sisters-in-law!

After eating, it was time for the pull-string pinata! Since this was a 2-year-old's birthday party, I thought this would be better than a regualar pinata. I was nervous it wouldn't work, but it turned out great. I think the kids had fun running for all the candy!

Then it was time to sing happy birthday to Avery...

And last of not least, present time! She is one lucky girl to get all those wonderful gifts!

Since the cousins had to drive all the way back to College Station, it was time to tell them bye. Thank you all so much for taking time out of your busy scheduals to help celebrate Avery's birthday!


Once everyone left, Daddy and Uncle Ladd started putting Avery's new kitchen we got her together. Mommy thought it was funny to watch the men try to put this thing together while BOTH kiddos played with it. Avery and Greyson just couldn't WAIT! :)

Since Monday (July 12th) was Avery's actual birthday, Brad and I thought we would take her to Cheese E Cheese for the first time that night for dinner. We were a little skeptical about how she was going to react to all of the rides since a few weeks ago we put her on ones of those moving horses at the outlet mall and she FREAKED out. No need to worry though...she LOVED it!

Ashley and Ladd are trying to pose the kids in one of those booths that takes your picture. It was a lot harder than you think! Haha!

This ride took you on a roller coaster ride. Avery did NOT want to get off it when it was over. She kept telling us "Again Mommy!"

I think the daddies had just as much fun as the kids did!

Overall, we ALL had a blast at Chuck E Cheese. And no, the creepy mouse never came out...which Mommy really appriciated! :)

After we came back from Chuck E Cheese, Brad and I decided to sing happy birthday to Avery once more. As we were getting the candles and video camera out, Avery sang the whole Happy Birthday song to herself. We were hoping she would do it again, but we only could get her to sing a little bit of it...

This video shows Brad asking her how old she is and her responding with "2". :) Such a big girl!
